EPOS systems aid efficiency in retail outlets

In today’s retail environment efficiency of staff time is at the forefront of all management concerns. Budgets for staff wages have been slashed even further in recent months causing retail managers to rethink the way their outlets run and ensure that all resources are helping staff perform customer focused activities to the best of their ability. Many retail businesses have recently installed more up to date EPOS systems to help them give staff an efficient tool for not only processing payments and orders but controlling inventories and much more. A cloud based EPOS system is being recommended by many retails, ‘cloud based’ means retailers access the system via the internet and ensures the system can run at a fast and efficient speed and has an increased level of security. Benefits of the systems are passed on to the consumer and a faster, more efficient service is provided leading to shorter queuing times, faster service. Also due the systems being easier to use for the staff happier more relaxed staff leads to happier more relaxed customers.
Charity retailers as well as high street shops are also seeing the benefits of switching to cloud based EPOS systems, The British Red Cross chain of charity shops recently installed a epos system by Cybertill, a leading EPOS supplier. Mike Piken, Retail EPOs Manager at BRC said recently;
“We were able to get rid of most of the paperwork at shop level. All the basic information we need is now derived from the Cybertill system and it provides reports to drive the business forward.”
